Este barrio es el más joven de San Sebastián de los Reyes y a la vez el más alejado del casco antiguo, es un barrio que hace frontera con Alcobendas, y se encuentra acompañado con dos barrios de esa localidad, por el sur con el Barrio de Valdelasfuentes y por el oeste con el Barrio de Fuente Lucha.

Su nombre de tempranales ya nos pone sobre la pista a que estaban destinados estos terrenos en los tiempos pasados, en ellos crecían viñas que dada su orografía orientada al saliente eran de majuelos de uva temprana. El arroyo que discurría en su vaguada recibía igualmente el nombre de Tempranales. Era un arroyo por el que la mayor parte del año no discurría agua, tan sólo en época de lluvias y el aporte que tenía de una fuente que surgía a mitad de la ladera que se la conocía con el nombre de la Fuente Guindas.

Barrio de Tempralanes

Considero que es un barrio muy privilegiado para sus vecinos si nos fijamos en su situación geográfica dentro de nuestro término municipal.

El enclave del Barrio de Tempranales está bordeado por toda su parte norte por el Parque Regional del Manzanares -la finca de Valdelamasa y la Dehesa Boyal-, dos manchas verdes en las que no se levantarán edificaciones, y tras ellos se encuentra todo ese inmenso Monte de Viñuelas, ahí es nada, no hay más enclaves urbanos hasta la localidad de Tres Cantos, es decir kilómetros de espacio sin contaminación y con la vista de toda la sierra de La Pedriza y la Bola del Mundo como telón de fondo.

Al este sus edificaciones se prolongan hasta el Camino de Enmedio y a partir de aquí se extiende un gran parque que se prolonga hasta el Arroyo de la Dehesa, y a la vez un extenso parque lineal del Arroyo de Valconejero que le separa del Barrio de los Arroyos. Se puede decir que vivir en este barrio es vivir en plena naturaleza.

Es un barrio trazado de bulevares, avenidas y calles amplias, de ahí que cuando al Archivo Municipal le correspondió poner nombre a estos viales pensó que se merecía nombres que nos recordasen esa naturaleza, de ahí que en el callejero aparezcan nombres dedicados a los Parques Nacionales y Regionales que se extienden a lo largo y ancho de nuestra península y sus islas: Picos de Europa, Albufera, Sierra Nevada, Arribes del Duero, Sierra de Albarracín, Coto de Doñana, Cabañeros, Cabo de Gata, Garajonay, Somiedo, Sierra Espuña, Timanfaya, Tablas de Daimiel, Ordesa, Monte Perdido, Islas Cies y Manzanares. Está sapilcado de glorietas que también reciben nombres vinculados a esa naturaleza que rezuma este barrio, así están Gredos, Lagunas de Ruidera,  Mar Menor, Lagos de Covadonga, Fuentes Carrionas, Monfragüe y Sierra de Cazorla.

Una vez atravesado el Bulevar del Manzanares, que se corresponde con la  antigua Cañada de Matapiñonera, ya sus viales reciben nombres que hacen referencia a espacios naturales de nuestra Comunidad, en concreto de la Sierra del Guadarrama, ahí nos encontraremos con Morcuera, Fuenfría, Navacerrada, Valle del Lozoya y Hayedo de Montejo.

Tan sólo hay una calle que no recibe nombre que haga referencia a la rica naturaleza que encierra nuestro país, y es el de la gran escritora madrileña Gloria Fuertes.

He de comentar que en el Barrio de Dehesa Vieja tenía asignado el nombre de una calle, pero hubo que cambiarla, ya que la calle que separa nuestro Barrio de Tempranales del de Valdelasfuentes en Alcobendas, tenía ya asignado el nombre de Gloria Fuertes, y no era de recibo que la acera de Alcobendas tuviera este nombre y la acera de San Sebastián de los Reyes otro distinto, creo que estaréis de acuerdo conmigo que hubiese sido demencial, por lo que se optó cambiar el nombre de la calle que nuestra poetisa tenía dedicado en Dehesa Vieja por otro, con el fin de no tener dos calles en distintos lugares con el mismo nombre.

Considero que hay que echar la vista atrás y recurrir a la toponimia que pusieron nuestros antepasados a estos parajes. Observando el antiguo parcelario vemos que la circundan el mencionado Camino de Enmedio, la Cañada de ganados que bordea la Dehesa, y a la que se la une la de Matapiñonera, y los camino de Valdelamasa, Valdelasfuentes y de Colmenar Viejo, aunque hay planos que aparece con el nombre de las Escobas.

En cuanto al nombre de los parajes en que se asienta el barrio citaremos el de Valdelasfuentes junto al cual discurre el arroyo del mismo nombre, el Arroyo de los Tempranales, que da nombre al barrio, así como los de Fuente Guindas, Las Escobas y Cerro Helecho.

Es un barrio que se está desarrollando en la actualidad y que tiene una calidad de vida envidiable como expuse anteriormente, esta es la causa de que aún no disponga de indispensable servicios como culturales y sanitarios. Aunque en el aspecto educativo ya se cuenta con el Colegio Público “Tempranales”, situado junto a la Glorieta de Gredos.
